The notes of a lullaby, drawn from a clinically proven musical scale — the note pattern shown in sleep-lab studies to help people fall asleep faster — and spatially spread between the two pads. Where the spread waves meet inside your skull they interfere, and that interference is the slow wave: 2 to 4 Hz, the rhythm your brain runs on in deep sleep. You never hear a pulsing beat. You hear a melody. The slow wave rides underneath it.

Clinical study · Spatial Sleep

Adults with moderate-to-severe insomnia used the band for four weeks. Insomnia severity fell from 19.8 to 8.5 — past the benchmark for meaningful improvement — with no adverse events.

Why the forehead

Skin here talks
straight to the
sleep switch.

Your forehead is not an arbitrary place to put a speaker. It is one of the most densely wired patches of skin on your body, and the wire runs somewhere useful.

  • Mechanoreceptors feel the vibration PIEZO2 channels in the skin convert mechanical movement into nerve signals. In people born without working PIEZO2, vibration cannot be felt at all.
  • The supraorbital nerve carries it inward This branch of the trigeminal nerve runs from your brow directly to the brainstem — a short trip, with no relay through the ear.
  • The brainstem sets your arousal level Trigeminal input lands on the nuclei that gate the switch between alert and asleep. Stimulating this pathway has improved insomnia symptoms in published clinical work.
