Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement embedded firmware solutions for our existing and future hardware product portfolio
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software engineers, and product managers, to define firmware requirements and specifications.
• Perform firmware development and debugging activities, including coding, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Optimize firmware code for performance, memory utilization, and power efficiency.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation of firmware to ensure compliance with functional requirements and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve firmware-related issues, including system crashes, performance bottlenecks, and compatibility problems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in embedded systems and firmware technologies, and incorporate them into the development process.
• Document firmware designs, specifications, and testing procedures.
  Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to integrate third-party firmware components and libraries, when necessary.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5 years) in embedded firmware development, preferably in the consumer electronics or IoT industry.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++.
  Strong understanding of embedded systems, ARM microcontrollers, and real-time operating systems.
• Experience with firmware development tools, debuggers, and IDEs.
• Familiarity with hardware schematics and datasheets.
• Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, USB) and wireless technologies (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and best practices, including version control systems (GitHub) and bug tracking tools (Jira).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex firmware issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
